Be a part of Huntsville’s Fourth Annual Pro Bono Brews, an exciting event benefiting the Madison County Volunteer Lawyers Program and Free the Hops.  Pro Bono Brews is a casual event showcasing premier craft beers from fifteen Alabama breweries at the Historic Huntsville Depot Roundhouse. Enjoy a crisp fall evening full of great beer, awesome food by Taco Mama, live music and a silent auction! The evening will be capped off with several fan voted awards, including the “Pro Bono Cup” to the favorite brewery of the evening. Join us as we celebrate fall and craft beer, all for a good cause!

Von Braun Astronomical SocietyOn Saturday, October 22 from 1-10 pm, the Von Braun Astronomical Society will host its annual Astronomy Day at the VBAS facilities in Monte Sano State Park. Events will include family fun activities hosted by local science groups, planetarium shows and telescope observing (weather permitting). All activities are free and open to the public.
Folklife Festival will showcase craftspeople, artists and presenters who will share their knowledge about the traditions, skills, handicrafts and arts of our region during the 1800s and early 1900s. Come hear traditional music, see Appalachian dance, and watch demonstrators as they show you how our ancestors worked, lived and created art. Skills that will be demonstrated include: blacksmithing, flint knapping, Native American flute making and playing, spinning, quilting, open hearth cooking and much, much more.

The Huntsville Ballet Company opens its 2016 – 17 Season with Unplugged on October 21, 22 and 23 at the Von Braun Center Playhouse. Enjoy a mixed program showcasing original works featuring flamenco and modern ballet. Non-traditional and often surprising, Unplugged allows Huntsville Ballet to stretch its repertoire.
